Airport transfer:
- US$100 round trip per person
- Wednesday and Saturday
- airport is Rapid City in South Dakota
- transfer only possible if you arrive before 9 pm and don't
leave before 10 am
- the ranch is about 2.5 hours (100 miles) away

You can also rent a car to come here (arrival after 12 pm,
departure before 12 pm) but you won't need it on
the ranch. |

conditions:

of booking (personal check or money order or transfer in US$ onto
American or in Euro onto German bank account at the current exchange rate).

Canadian, British and Irish citizens can enter the USA for up to
three months without a visa

This is what you should bring:
- some kind of hat (best with a wide rim), tight boots with a
bit of a heel and as little tread as possible (no riding in tennis shoes), sturdy clothing (layers
are recommended in spring and fall),
long denim jeans (beginners might want to bring cycling or long
underwear).
- The sun is especially strong in this dry and high altitude.
Bring high sun protection!
- We don't have many midges but if you are sensitive, bring
protection.
- Don't forget a bathing suit for the hot tub and lake.
- Riding helmets are not used in this area but if you want to
bring one, go ahead. It's certainly smart. We also provide
helmets at the ranch. |
Insurances:

Get health insurance for traveling abroad. Many European
insurances don't cover the US. |

Electronics:
-
110 voltage (hair dryers etc. should be convertible), we provide
hair dryers for our guests
- modern electronics like cell/mobile phones and laptop
computers can be used at different voltage but Europeans still
need a plug-in adaptor
- we don't have cell/mobile phone reception on the ranch but you
can buy/bring phone cards
NEW:
From 2011 on we have internet service (WiFi) for our guests but you
need to bring your own iPhone, netbook, laptop etc. |
